There won’t be something new until finally fall. Absolutely nothing is officially announced right up until it takes place so whatever you might hear about it in the meantime is strictly rumor and/or wishful thinking. The 4. update will be released in June, btw.
What do you think? Answer below!

It will really depend on how long you want to wait. Fall does sound about right for the next model, so if you can wait, why not? You’ll get the latest and greatest. But if you feel like you need an iPod now, the 32GB touch is a great choice.
Oh my God: Love, why do you need to cut and past the whole review if you already linked to it?!
Poster, it’s up to you. Since Apple is rumored to release the new iPhone (4th Gen) this summer it would make sense that the iPod Touch 4th Gen would be close in coming. The MacRumor’s Buyer’s Guide (http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/) says it’s a good idea to wait: the last iPod Touch Update was in September so it’s a really good bet that right around that time is when we’ll see the next gens.
Since the iPad uses Apple’s new and super-powerful A4 system-on-a-chip processor it’s a pretty safe bet that both the iPhone and iPod Touch updates will use the same chip. That means better graphics and MUCH faster processing than the iPhone 3GS, much less the iPod Touch! If you can hold off, I would suggest it! I don’t usually suggest waiting for “rumored” hardware updates but this is one that I would hold off on.
